You little ripper!

Pemberton engine puller
This beast can easily rip out an engine but it can also do a lot, lot more.
Well it may not be so little but when we saw this unit in action in the States we thought that it might be of interest to UK dismantlers. The unit is in simple terms, an engine ripper but if you watch the video you will see it’s far more than that.

Although a brute of a machine (you need a serious wheel loader to handle it), in the hands of a trained operator it can be rather delicate as well. I watched it ripping out the radiator, then the engine and box, then it ripped out the dash assembly and it all took only a few minutes.

Engine puller in action
This machine doesn't mess about - take alook at the video
The American manufacturers claim it is the most economical way to remove engines from scrapped vehicles and having seen it in action, it’s hard to dispute it. The unit comes in three different designs and with various mounting configurations.

Unfortunately there isn’t a unit available currently in the UK that anyone who is interested can take a look at right now but that should change shortly as Vortex Depollution Ltd are going to be selling the puller in this country. Vortex’s MD, Nigel Dove said, “I first saw the puller at a show in the States where we were demonstrating our range of depollution equipment. When I saw how effective it was and then found out that it wasn’t available to UK dismantlers, I felt I should be do something about it.”

Take a look at the video if you want to see what we liked about the puller. If you think this may be a way to increase your profits then email Vortex Depollution Ltd or call them on 08000 752 252.
