RAW2K goes for nationwide scrap car collection

ELV collection
RAW2K's decision to extend their service to the collection of scrap cars has brought good business into their 23 ATFs.
I guess this was bound to happen. You take a business that is setup to auction vehicle salvage from contracts with insurers and public offices such as police and councils. You get 23 authorised treatment facilities covering the UK, and it is then a natural progression to extend the service to the collection of end of life vehicles from the general public.

RAW2K has been going for over 10 years now and in that time as auctioned over 100,000 vehicles. The drive to extend their service to the collection of scrap cars was not purely financial but it does bring good business into their 23 ATFs. The concern amongst member sites was the way that many end of life vehicles were not being taken off the roads according to the law.

From the public’s point of view, it couldn’t be easier. They go to the website, fill in the form and hit the button. RAW2K then contacts the owner to arrange collection, usually within 24 hours. All vehicles and cars are safely recovered via their network of 23 sites who depollute and crush the vehicle on site and provide a Certificate of Destruction and guarantee that the ELV is processed in-line with ELV Guidelines.

There are a number of bodies now offering nationwide collection and the problem they all have is getting their web address in front of the public and at the top of the search engines. RAW2K’s site can be seen at www.scrapcarformoney.co.uk.
