Auto Dismantling System - cost analysis
Back in December, Overton Dismantlers told us that they had significantly increased
the return from ELVs with their Auto Dismantling System. The sales pitch did sound good but now, with a few months operation

Scorpion could increase revenue by 30%
I was recently talking to guy called Adam Lindley from SAS Forks.
Most of you won’t have heard of the company as it’s based in the States, but he was telling me about a product they are
manufacturing for vehicle dismantlers called the Scorpion. The product sounded like the sort of thing we should all know
about and it struck me that there could be more than a few UK dismantlers who might be interested in getting one.

Airbags - there isn’t any reason for them not to be sold
In the last eNewsletter we asked the question, “Airbags are an accepted green part in the States
so why not here? After all, Airbags are probably the most valuable element (after the engine and box) of a premature end of
life vehicle, yet because of the insurers’ code of conduct, the safety related card is played on this one but it is hard to
uncover any justification for it.

The organisers of CARS, the Complete Auto Recycling and Secondary Metals Show tell us the show is getting bigger as demand from
exhibitors is exceeding the space they had allocated. This is great news for us as it means we have even more to look at - take a
look at the companies involved on the CARS website. Whether you’re involved with the collection and recovery market, salvage or
spares, or process the secondary metals that come from elv’s, then you've got to agree, there has never been an event like this for the
industry!
