Motor salvage consultancy with a difference

Salvage Wire
Andy Latham was recently appointed Salvage Wire's MD - there is life after Bluecycle!
Safe, Ethical and Profitable, I am certain that every business owner and manager would want to claim each of those terms applies to their businesses.

Salvage Wire, a new Automotive Recycling and Motor Salvage Consultancy wants to help all businesses become Safe, Ethical and Profitable. Andy Latham, who many will know from his 12 years with Bluecycle, did not want to leave the Automotive Recycling industry after Bluecycle was closed so he started Salvage Wire. “I have worked with so many fantastic businesses around the UK and I wasn’t going to walk away from them” said Andy, “the challenges facing this industry in the next few years will be big and I plan to be there helping as many as possible to grow, develop and perform”.

Salvage Wire will continue a lot of the work that Andy was doing whilst at Bluecycle while bringing additional services as well. Technical training and leadership development are high on the list of services offered as well as project management, audit and compliance, marketing and PR, brochure recycling. Many more more services are available from Salvage Wire so it’ worth visiting their website.

One of the first technical training courses to be run will be the Safe Handling of Damaged Hybrid and Electric Vehicles. The courses will commence during January 2014 and any interested delegates need to contact Salvage Wire with their details so a suitable location can be booked to host the training.

Andy was invited to be co-chair of the recent International Round Table on Automotive Recycling, or IRT for short, and is working with auto recycling professionals from North America, Australia and Asia to bring together a global alliance of automotive recyclers who will have real power and influence on regulators, governments and industry across the world.

Andy wants to raise standards in the industry, improve the professionalism of the industry and change the public perception of this industry through the work he is doing as he believes that a strong industry will bring significant benefit to all businesses, customers and suppliers. Andy was also involved in organising CARS 2012 in Liverpool, and is part of the team bringing CARS 2014 to Motorhog on the 5-6th June 2014 - an opportunity for the Automotive Recycling industry to come together, meet, learn and share best practice with each other (www.cars-expo.com for more information).

Salvage Wire can be contacted through their website and Andy tells us that theyare available to help any business, small or large, to become Safe, Ethical and Profitable.
