Road trip planned to this year's ARA convention

ARA Convnetion Road Trip
Travel with other UK dismantlers, visit top US sites and enjoy the convention!
Fancy a road trip in the States, with other UK dismantlers, visiting a number of American sites and ending up at this years ARA convention. Here’s a great opportunity.

This year ARA will hold their annual convention in Charlotte, North Carolina from October 7th to 10th. Terry Charlton (Charlton Recycled Autoparts) and Andy Latham (Salvage Wire) are arranging a road trip to the convention. They have put together a full itinerary. If you aren’t sure of anything and would like to know more, then both Terry and Andy are happy to answer any questions that you may have, and both of them will be on the trip.

As a bit of background, a fair number of UK auto recyclers have attended the ARA conventions for many years and have seen lots of benefits and new ideas from the experience. This trip gives seasoned visitors and those who have never attended but would like to, the opportunity to visit some of the best yards and businesses in the vicinity of the 2015 Convention, plus (of course) the biggest and best auto recycler’s convention of the year.

You will visit yards across Virginia and North Carolina on the way to Charlotte for the 72nd ARA Convention and Expo. You will see first hand how US auto recyclers operate, the standards they work to, sales operations, vehicle storage, dismantling, parts distribution and more. This is a great opportunity to meet US auto recyclers in their businesses and network with a select group of UK auto recyclers on the trip. At the conference you can learn from the best speakers, trainers and developers and then browse the exposition, networking with fellow auto recyclers from around the world. It’s amazing how many new ideas you will pick up that can help increase your profits when you get back home.

For race enthusiasts there is also the NASCAR Hall of Fame and the Bank of America 500 race including Pit Tour. You can get further details about the convention here.

There is a full itinery and further details regarding travel to and from the Sates on the MVDA blog which, if you fancy going, can be viewed here.
