Major expansion at FAB Recycling

new site for FAB
FAB recently acquired this 6.5 acre site and plans to create one of the most advanced vehicle dismantling and parts processing operations in the country.

What do you do when your own success holds you back? That’s where Fab Recycling were, having outgrown their existing site and needing more capacity to continue going forward. Well that problem is now behind them with the recent acquisition of a 6.5 acre site in Cinderford.

Founded in 1991, FAB Recycling is one of the UK’s largest independent specialist vehicle parts recyclers, operating across FAB Direct, FAB Bundle and the popular Mygreenfleet banners.

Currently they are based on a 2.5 acre facility in Cinderford Gloucestershire, which has been out grown by the companies continued success and further contractual growth forecast. So what better way to celebrate 25 years in business than acquiring a new 6.5 acre site to allow you to keep growing for the next 25.

The new site is local to the existing one, enabling FAB to retain all of its experienced staff. FAB has also added five more staff to support its current workforce. The new site offers in excess of 50,000 Sq Ft of covered vehicle processing and parts storage space on a well-proportioned site.

FAB’s MD, Jason Cross told atfProfessional; “Our aim is to re-furbish the existing buildings and design the site to be one of the most efficient salvage and green recycled parts facilities in the country. This £1M investment represents a clear commitment by FAB to continue to put its customers first by offering the very best overall salvage disposal and green parts supply chain solution that strives to exceed their expectations”.

FAB started life as a specialist BMW dismantler and has grown rapidly, fast becoming a leading vehicle dismantling within the industry with innovative ideas. Growth has been instigated by managing director, Jason Cross, who joined the business in 1994 and today oversees his team of 35 and stocks in excess of 18,500 tested, cleaned, and catalogued parts.

All of FAB’s recycled bolt-on type body panels and mechanical parts are supplied fully warranted and quality graded, they also all come with full traceability for added peace of mind.

FAB makes over 14,300 individual shipments of recycled parts worldwide every year and we believe is the only UK vehicle dismantler to be both ISO 14001 registered and certified carbon neutral.

If you want to know about how FAB has achieved this level of success, search FAB on this site to read more about them. You can visit FAB Recycling here.
